Pre-treatment
The healthcare professional evaluates the patient’s ocular surface using tearcheck® for quick, comprehensive screening. The skin phototype is identified to adjust treatment settings, and a consent form is signed to confirm no contraindications. After cleansing the skin, sensitive areas like moles are protected.
Treatment
The patient sits comfortably while protective eye shields are applied. A layer of optical gel is placed under the lower eyelid, and gentle light pulses are delivered to both eyes, ensuring a safe and non-invasive experience.
Post-treatment
Most patients feel relief within minutes. Makeup or skincare products can be used immediately, and no downtime is needed. For best results, sessions are recommended on Day 1, Day 15, and Day 45, with an optional session on Day 75 for severe dry eye.
